The final table is set for the World Series of Poker. Once again, just like last year, it has been delayed until early November in order to build excitement and to give the fans a chance to learn about the players. Play is scheduled to resume on November 7, 2009 and the nine final table players will be battling for their share of over 27 million dollars. First place this year will pay $8.5 million and ninth place will pay $1.25 million.
The most notable player at the final table is Phil Ivey. Anyone who has followed poker, for even a short while, should know of Phil. It should be interesting to see how it all plays out. Although Phil Ivey may be the most notable and a possible favorite, we all know that just about anything can happen at a poker table.
